City officials have warned of the presence of protesters on Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida Insurgentes and have asked motorists to use alternate routes to avoid road closures.

The Mexico City Public Safety Secretariat’s (SSP) Road Information Center said on its Twitter account, @OVIALCDMX, that Paseo de la Reforma is closed from Glorieta de Colón to the Calle de Paris.

It is recommended to take Insurgentes Sur, Puente de Alvarado, Balderas, Avenida Chapultepec, Arcos de Belén, or Doctor Rio de la Loz.

Additionally, the Urban Management Agency reported in its account @072AvialCDMX that there is are long waits on Insurgentes, at Colonia del Valle Avenue, and suggests that motorists instead drive on Providencia or Adolfo Prieto.
