Interior Secretary Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong stated during a security meeting in Poza Rica, Veracruz, that the federal government will continue to backup Veracruz’s security forces. “Poza Rica and the state of Veracruz have the federal government’s full support to reinforce the work of local authorities,” said Osorio Chong.

He also announced the arrival of 200 additional police officers to join the Federal Police in the municipalities of Juan Rodríguez Clara and Ciudad Isla.
