Interpol Issues Red Notice for Javier Duarte

Duarte de Ochoa is wanted in 190 countries on alleged accounts of organized crime and carrying out operations with illegal funding

Attorney General’s Office (PGR) spokesperson Natalia Briseño Campillo stated that the Red Notice for the capture of former Veracruz governor Javier Duarte de Ochoa was issued on Nov. 14, 2016; however, it was only made public on the Interpol’s site on Tuesday.

According to Interpol bylaws, it is the member State’s decision to make the information public, so for the sake of transparency the notice was released on Tuesday.

Duarte de Ochoa is wanted in 190 countries on alleged accounts of organized crime and carrying out operations with illegal funding.
