Cold Front 16 Will Maintain Cool Temperatures in North, Northeast of the Country

The cold zone will gradually fade in the northeast of the country

Mexico – It is expected that Cold Front 16 of the year will continue in the north and northeast of the country and together with a zone of instability to the southeast of Mexico and strong winds with highs of 60 kilometers per hour (27 miles per hour) in Istmo and Gulf of Tehuantepec.

The cold zone will gradually fade in the northeast of the country.

The National Weather Service (SMN) forecasts temperatures lower than -5 degrees Celsius (23 Fahrenheit) in mountainous areas of Durango, and from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius in mountainous regions of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Mexico State, Hidalgo, Puebla and Tlaxcala.

There will also be temperates of 0 to 5 degrees Celsius in high regions of Baja California, Sonora, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Mexico City, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

The hottest temperatures were recorded in Peñitas, Colima; the Infiernillo Dam and Caimanera, Michoacán; as well as in Santa Cruz, Sinaloa with 39 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature were recorded in La Rosilla and Guanaceví, Durango at -7.5 degrees Celsius.
