Attorney General Arely Gómez González said that, between Tuesday June 14 and Wednesday 15, U.S. immigration authorities would turn over Héctor “El Güero” Palma Salazar, founder of the Sinaloa cartel to Mexico.

Gómez González indicated that the repatriation would be in strict accordance with the law an that the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) is examining if criminal cases remained against Palma Salazar.

“The Attorney General’s Office must act with absolute responsibility and in strict accordance with the law. At this moment, we are figuring out how the repatriation of ‘El Güero’ Palma will be carried out, at which time we will know what the Attorney General’s Office determines to do. We are working on that. He will be arriving between today and tomorrow.”
