This weekend make sure you don’t miss the “Nutcracker” at Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris. You can catch the show, which includes over 170 young dancers, on Thursday and Friday at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are 132 pesos.

Not into holiday cheer? The play “December Psychosis” will be performed at the Foro Shakespeare in Condesa to share in your holiday misery. Anabel Domínguez is directing the play and tickets cost 250 pesos.

Alt-rock band Odisseo will also be playing at Foro Indie Rocks in Roma if you’re not the alt-theater type. The band started their career playing in metro stations, and recorded their first EP in 2010. Make sure not to miss them! Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets start at 250 pesos.

Celebrate the holidays in Zona Rosa at Nicho Bears & Bar. There will be a drag show and live music. The night starts at 8 p.m., but make sure to get there before it fills up! Entrance is 50 pesos.

Feeling weighed down by all the holiday treats this week? Reserve Sunday morning for 10k Christmas Run down Reforma. A holiday-themed run will undoubtedly work off the egg-nog, so make sure you’re ready at 7 a.m. Tickets are 350 pesos per person and you can find them here.

Theater company Madninga Mar will be putting on a show to take you back to your childhood imagination. “The Clouds” will have dancers exploring the sky and clouds in a piece that the entire family will enjoy. Irene Martínez Ríos is choreographing the show which takes place at noon in the Centro Cultural de España. Entrance is free!
