Head of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) Ernesto Nemer announced that he will demand that the Dell company respect the price of 679 pesos ($34) that was announced on the internet.

Nemer said that after making a mistake with the pricing, the company tried to remove information.

Nemer also met with representatives of the company to hear all of the complaints about the issue. In the last 48 hours there have been 202 contacts to Profect on social networks, the consumer hotline and Profeco delegations.

Profeco also asked Dell to improve its costumer service, especially in high-volume shopping seasons like Buen Fin.

Yesterday, Dell accidentally offered Alienware laptops on its website for 679 pesos, when the true price is 44,000 pesos.

Alienware 15 and 17 laptops are specialized gaming laptops.

Many people took advantage of the “sale” and bought up to five laptops in a single order. However, Dell tweeted that the pricing was a mistake and offered an apology.
