The dollar closed at a selling price of 19.66 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges Thursday, a one-centavo advance from Wednesday. Banks purchased the dollar for 18.47 pesos.
The euro declined 11 centavos to close at 21.88 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 24.71 pesos and 0.215 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.2433 pesos per dollar.
