At market close Friday, Mexico City banks sold the dollar at 19.05, 15 centavos less than at close on Thursday. Dollars were purchased for 18.26.
The euro lost six centavos to be sold at 21.24, while the pound and yen were sold for 25.18 and 0.225 pesos, respectively.
The official exchange rate, set by Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico), was 18.7837 pesos per dollar.
