Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 19.34 pesos at market close Monday, a 19-centavo increase from Friday. The dollar was sold for 18.24 pesos.
The euro gained 60 centavos to close at 22.01 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.08 pesos and 0.194 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.0646 pesos per dollar.
