Mexico City banks were selling the dollar for 18.60 pesos at market close Friday, 10 centavos more than on Thursday. The dollar was sold at 17.76 pesos.
The euro gained 16 centavos to close at 20.70, while the pound and yen were sold at 23.93 and 0.198 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.2455 pesos per dollar.
