The dollar closed at 18.97 pesos on Monday in Mexico City currency exchanges, a four-centavo decline from Friday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 17.79 pesos.
The euro closed at 20.60 pesos, a three-centavo decline from Friday, while the pound and yen closed at 23.09 pesos and 0.205 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.5658 pesos per dollar.
